TracRac, Inc. was established in 1995 in order to bring to market a truck rack system that company founder Tom Derecktor had made for his own light duty pick up truck (exhibit A). 

Tom’s engineering and manufacturing experience came out of the ship-building industry where he worked for many years with his father and brother.  From their Mamaroneck, NY ship yard the Derecktors design and build some of world’s finest motor yachts, high-speed ferries and innovative work boats.   It was in this atmosphere of legendary attention to detail, demand for perfection and uncompromising dedication to quality that Tom gained his manufacturing experience. 

Tom’s move into truck rack design and manufacturing came as Tom found himself constantly accommodating his cargo to utilize his truck rack, rather than the other way around. His initial premise, and the one that still drives the company today is to design and build a Cargo Management System that meets the constantly changing needs of today’s truck owner.

TracRac is based in Fall River, MA which is in the southeastern coastal region of the state.  The design, engineering, manufacturing and sales teams are all housed in a renovated mill space and the company provides jobs to 50+ people.

TracRac is proudly made in Fall River, MA, and sold nationwide through fine truck accessory/equipment dealers, building/contractor supply houses, as well as leading retailers like Home Depot and Lowes. TracRac has been tested and approved by GMC, Chevy, Ford and Dodge.
