Will TracRac truck racks fit my truck?
There are TracRac Sliding rack systems designed to fit most
pickup truck models built in the last 25 years.
Visit the TracRac Fitlist
page to configure a TracRac Sliding
truck rack system.
The T-Rac system fits nearly any truck. Over-the-rail drop
in bed liners require substantial modification. T-Rac Page
The TracVan rack fits vans with external rain gutters. Bolt-on
gutters are available as an accessory. TracVan page

How do you install a TracRac?
The base rails mount in the truck bed stake pockets using stainless
steel bolts and expanding rubber blocks. The overhead racks
then slide on the base rails. For trucks without stake pockets,
drilling is required. More Installation information.

How do you install a T-Rac?
T-Rac has damage-free compression mounts that clamp around
the truck bed rails. T-Rac installs in minutes and can be removed
just as easily.

How do you install a TracVan?
Corner brackets clamp to the rain gutter of your van. Rack

What is the difference between TracRac and T-Rac?
The TracRac is a sliding rack system which has full length
base rails, with multiple tracks, which mount in the stake
pockets. The overhead racks and accessories can slide the full
length of the truck bed. They may also be easily removed by
sliding them off the end.
The T-Rac has the same heavy duty cross bars and uprights
as the TracRac sliding rack, but has damage-free compression
mounts which attach directly to the truck side rails, rather
than installing in the stake pockets.

What is the difference between T-Rac and T-Rac Pro?
The T-Rac Pro has an all-over dual coat chrome finish, where
the original T-Rac has black
powdercoat uprights with silver crossbars. The T-Rac Pro also
has handy tie-down cleats on each corner of the rack, which
the original T-Rac does not have. Visit the T-Rac
Pro page for more information.

How easily do TracRac overhead racks slide?
When properly installed, they slide easily when pushed from
one side of the truck.

What accessories work with the T-Rac?
T-Rac Toolbox Mounts are available, as well as the Industrial
Cantilever. The T-Rac uses the same crossbars as all TracRac
truck and van racks, so sport adapter bars, kayak mounts, bike
mounts, cross bar tie downs, and other similar accessories
work with T-Rac. Visit the T-Rac
Accessories page for more information.

How do I mount a saddle-style toolbox on my TracRac?
Toolbox Mounts are available as a TracRac
accessory. The kit
comes with a pair of sliders that attach to the underside of
the box saddles, allowing your toolbox to slide on the top
inner track of the TracRac baserails. Set screws are also included
to replace the knobs on your front overhead racks, allowing
the toolbox to be slid as close as possible to the front of
your truck bed. Positioning knobs remain on the inside of your
toolbox, so no one can slide or remove the toolbox except you.
Toolboxes will sit approximately 2.5-3" above the side
rails of your truck because they sit above the TracRac baserails
and toolbox sliders. Check out Toolbox Mounts at the TracRac
Accessories page.

Will my saddle-style toolbox work with my TracRac?
With TracRac installed on your truck, the most important dimension
to consider when adding a saddle-style toolbox is the belly
width of the box. The lowest part of the toolbox must fit between
the TracRac baserails, as well as between the wheelwells. For
most Fullsize trucks, a belly width of 61" or less usually
fits. Exceptions are the Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan trucks.
(Most toolboxes don't fit these trucks even without a TracRac
installed). To mount a saddle-style toolbox on a TracRac with
these trucks, an extra-narrow bellied toolbox must be used.
When deciding on a toolbox, be sure to measure the distance
between wheelwells as well as the inside bed width. Keep in
mind that TracRac Baserails are 4.5" wide each and may
reduce the inside width of your truck bed.

How does the TracBox toolbox work with the TracRac?
The TracBox slides on the inner third track of the TracRac,
instead of on the inside top track like other saddle-style
toolboxes. This feature gives the TracBox a lower profile and
allows for greater driving visibility. TracBox comes with mounting
hardware that installs where the saddles of a traditional saddle-style
toolbox would be. The belly of the TracBox is tapered on both
sides to clear the wheelwells. It slides front to back on the
TracRac baserails, independent of the overhead racks. The TracBox
is available in Fullsize and Compact and fits most trucks.
TracBox does not work with the following trucks: Nissan Titan
King Cab and Crew Cab, Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, Ford F150
Flareside, Chevy Stepside. Check out more TracBox information
at the TracRac Accessories
page.
